Hmm, it seems like half my posts these days are about holidays... but then I guess that's one of the reasons I like this job so much.

Right now I'm on holiday, for a little over a week, as the 10-week course just came to an end, and the next one doesn't start until a week on Monday. Unfortunately, this time I'm a bit short of cash so can't actually afford to do a big trip - although given that I've just had a couple of week-long holidays in a matter of weeks, that's not too much to complain about. I might get out of the city for a few days next week, or I might not.

My next holiday after that is not a school holiday, nor is it really my idea. My dad and stepmum will be celebrating their 20th anniversary at the beginning of July, and they chose to do it in Paris. Which is not too convenient for me, but I'm hardly going to say no, and at least it's a direct flight. I've just been to Paris once before, way back in 1995, but that was in the dead of winter, so this time should hopefully be more fun.

Despite being in close proximity, I don't think I'll have time to get over to Scotland. The main reason to go (other than the food) would be to visit my sister & her family, and they'll all be in Paris anyway.
